As part of the improvements at the Fordingbridge Sewerage Treatment Works, Onyx Civils is operating as a specialized sub-contractor for Galliford Try. Based in Dorset and accredited by both Wessex Water and CHAS, Onyx Civils brings localized expertise in groundworks and technical civil engineering to this project. Their role specifically supports the drainage and capacity objectives through: Deep Drainage Infrastructure: Utilizing their specialization in technical deep sewer connections and drainage amendments to modernize the site’s pipework. Civil Engineering Support: Providing the groundwork packages required to install new storm storage assets and flow management systems. Specialized Plant Operations: Deploying an in-house fleet of plant machinery (ranging from 1.7 to 25 tons) to execute the complex excavations necessary for increasing the facility’s hydraulic capacity. Working under Galliford Try’s infrastructure framework, Onyx Civils ensures that the site’s physical footprint is prepared for the advanced treatment technologies being implemented to protect the River Avon.
